Child Sponsorship Appeal
Dear Friends: Over the years, the Global Ministries Child Sponsorship staff has said thank you many times and we anticipate a future with many more thank you messages to individuals and churches. Your support has enabled us to provide assistance to our Global Ministries partners in all five regions of the world through 15 participating centers around the world. Go forth into the world to serve God with gladness; hold fast to that which is good; support the weak; help the afflicted; honor all people (from Go Forth into the World by Robert J. Powell). For the past four years, we have been coming to you to defray a portion of the costs to operate the Global Ministries Child Sponsorship Program. In our world, Christian mission and service continue to be vitally important even though the financial costs required to serve and help others continue to increase. Remember that 100% of designated gifts for the child sponsorships themselves go to the centers and the children. Therefore, Global Ministries asks for your help in assuring the support system necessary to effectively carry out this program, which benefits more than 1000 children in need year after year. Because of support by awesome child sponsors, twin infant orphaned girls are now receiving support in Zimbabwe. Three-week old twin girls were admitted to Mt. Selinda Children’s Home after their unemployed father abandoned them and their mother had died from malaria seven days after they were born. One of the baby girls was admitted with pneumonia and responded to treatment well. Life for these little girls began with many adversities. They are now receiving the love and compassion they need and deserve. Let us continue to walk this journey together.
