Volunteers
"Being a long-term volunteer challenged and enriched my life. Appalled by the hardship and deprivation that characterizes the lives of so many, yet humbled by the spiritual strength and joyful worship I saw in these communities, I came away with new appreciation for the resilience of the human spirit and the power of faith." -Dr. Ann Nichols, long term volunteer in Zambia

Long-term volunteers serve for a year or longer in Critical Presence ministries requested by Global Partners. The volunteer, Global Ministries and the Global Partner usually contribute to the support package which makes the assignment possible. The current long-term volunteers are pictured below. If you are interested in a long-term volunteer assignment, please contact Onea Winkle at owinkle@dom.disciples.org.
Global Ministries also sends short-term volunteers on assignments identified by International Partners. These assignments are from two weeks up to one year. This is a great way to use vacation, summer break as a student or educator or a sabbatical opportunity as a pastor or professional.
