Below are drawings of the new pediatric wing of Bolenge Hospital, which was largely destroyed by fire on June 13, 2006.  This is the first section to be rebuilt thanks in great part to gifts from Disciple and UCC churches and households.  The dedication ceremony and the laying of the first stone was held in late May 2008 during a Global Ministries visit to Bolenge with Reverend Dr. Sharon Watkins, General Minister and President of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and a group from the Christian Church in Indiana. 

Reverend Sandra Gourdet reports that construction was delayed because of a generalized scarcity of cement in the entire country.  However, the cement is on its way by boat and building will begin the week of January 12.  The projected completion date for the pediatric wing is June 2009.
