Dr. NGOY Boliya Daniel Sandra, B.D., Recteur (President of the Protestant University of Congo) has been in the U.S. on an annual visit to attend the Annual Meeting of the North American Liaison Bureau, Inc., the organization set up to support the university in North America. Accompanied by Dr. Samuel Mampunza, Dean of the U.P.C.'s new Medical School, Dr. Ngoy also spoke to the United Methodist Church of Orange  Park, FL in their morning service on October 2, and also that evening to the residents of Penney Retirement Community in Penney Farms, FL. After a visit to Bloomington, IN where he underwent extensive medical examinations to check on his condition, following a kidney transplant last year in India, and to his son in Sacramento, CA, Dr. Ngoy returned to Kinshasa, DRC, October 20 where students are registering for the academic year. The enrollment of the university, founded in 1959 as an ecumenical institution with three students taught by three professors (including Disciples Richard Dodson), has grown to over 7,500 students, with as many females as males. It is probablly the most successful venture ever launched by the Disciples and other denominations.
