CONASPEH in Haiti Shares a Ministry Update
"CONASPEH expresses their gratitude to the United Church of Christ and the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) for their "acompañamiento" to the Haitian people in particular to CONASPEH. It is always a source of blessing for the churches of the National Spiritual Council of Churches of Haiti. In the past six months, CONASPEH has provided scholarships for a total of 166 kids; 116 at Saint Andre College (equivalent to K-12) and 50 at College of Petion-Ville (K-12)…" To read the complete update, click here:

GM Missionary, Gloria Vicente, Shares an Update from Guatemala
"It has now been a little over a month since we got back to Guatemala and finally we have a sense of stability again both at home and work. Back in September, I had a meeting with the executive committee at ACG to get caught up about life at ACG. There is something impressive about an organization like Guatemalan Cultural Action (ACG) and that is the commitment and dedication of the staff notwithstanding the economic hardships and the daily responsibilities of work and family. For example the role that the president of ACG, don Mateo Castillo plays has been fundamental in the way the organization is maintained. Despite his functions as President and Legal Representative, he is also in his last academic phase and soon will be graduating with an equivalent to a BA degree in Pedagogy. In the same way, I see the role and commitment that Francisca Ortiz, the Women's Program Director has in the life of the organization…"

An Update from the Community Health Education Project in Brazil
"The major activity of the Community Health Education Project is the Community Health Educators Training Course… The purpose of the course is to train Community Health Educators for the communities that need them most, to be involved and to provide orientation to other people that do not have access to information about how to prevent illnesses and maintain health. The classes meet once a week, for 90 minutes during 15 to 18 months. The idea is that the experiences and knowledge acquired in the course enable the health educators to teach their families and communities about what they learned..." To read more, click here:

Charitable Gift Annuity through Global Ministries
We've heard it is more blessed to give than to receive, but here's a way you can give to support Global Ministries and receive at the same time. It is called a charitable gift annuity, and it works very simply: You make a gift of cash, stock, or property to Global Ministries, and in turn, Global Ministries provides you with a guaranteed income for life.
