Attention Disciples: On September 1, Sharon Watkins called together several General Ministries Presidents, Regional Ministers, and Racial/Ethnic leadership to have a conversation on what the denomination should be doing regarding immigration reform. One outcome from this conversation was the decision to call for conversations on immigration in congregations around Columbus Day (October 12), although congregations are encouraged to start the conversations at a time most convenient for them.
