You have been invited to join in the giving of the Kids to Kids curriculum.  For over a dozen years "Kids to Kids Mission" curriculum has been helping Disciples of Christ children understand the needs of others and how they can respond to those needs.  Disciples children and youth have contributed thousands of dollars to the denomination's general funds and through mission programs related to Global Ministries.  Now, the UCC has joined the Disciples efforts and the search is on for new mission projects, ones that local churches are doing in their communities.

The hope is to make the new program totally web-based and interactive with new art work, new mission projects in North America and around the world.  A curriculum component is being added that will be useful in vacation church school and adaptable to other learning situations such as Sunday morning church school, youth group meetings and intergenerational gatherings.  Each year, the vacation church school program will focus on a different country in which Global Ministries mission partners are serving.  Kids to Kids will continue to lift-up mission programs of the wider church as well as local programs like yours.

If your congregation has an outreach project that serves children in the wider community and you would like for it to be considered as a Kids to Kids Mission Project, fill out the attached application form and return by November 1, 2008.  You will be notified no later than February 15, 2009 as to whether or not your mission project has been accepted.
