From July 7-22, United Church of Christ Conference Ministers James Antal (Massachusetts Conference), John Deckenback (Central Atlantic Conference) and Roddy Dunkerson (Nebraska), traveled to the Middle East with Peter Makari (Global Ministries' Middle East and Europe Executive).  Their trip spanned the region, including visits to Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Israel/Palestine.  Their focus was on the situation of Iraqi refugees for part of the trip, and on the context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict for another part, all along interacting with the work of our churches' partners, learning of their ministries and witness in these times and places.
