On September 28, 2008, 17 women from 13 Regions and four constituencies met in Newark, N.J., for a dinner hosted by Gloria Hernandez, program director with the Office of Disciples Women and co-leader of this trip. These women were beginning a wonderful experience called the WWW 2008 Israel and Palestine journey. They were joined the next morning by Peter Makari, the trip's co-leader and in-country expert from Global Ministries. After orientation, the group departed for Tel Aviv and a very emotional 10-day journey.
