The Voluntary Health Association was founded in 1970 as a secular, non-political, non-profit, organization. This health and development network promotes policy research, policy interventions, networking, women’s health and development, disease control, training and capacity building, information dissemination, grassroots programs, resource management and disaster management in addition to its many other activities. These services are critical to maintaining a high quality health care system and to challenging medical professionals and institutions to improve and expand services.
