These long-term relationships are rich with history and, throughout that history, we have been committed with our Partners to learning from each other about how God is being revealed to us in each challenge we face together. Critical Presence in Southern Asia means Strengthening Families and Communities - Supporting Partner missions which are providing quality medical care for families who are without it and contributing to Partner missions that are empowering poor and marginal communities through providing educational resources, vocational training, micro credit loans, and leadership development opportunities. Your gifts for Strengthening Families and Communities in Southern Asia will support programs such as: mission hospitals like Evangelical Hospital at Tilda or Wills Fairbank Pierce Mission Hospital in India; economic and vocational development projects like those at Christian Commission for Development in Bangladesh and the Unemployed Young People's Association in India.

Critical Presence in Southern Asia means Creating Hope through Working for Human Rights, Justice and Peace - Helping Partners to develop and promote programs which provide quality care and rehabilitate lives of those who have suffered injustices due to HIV/AIDS, human trafficking, sex discrimination, caste discrimination, or other violations which damage the human spirit and limit the potential to live up to capacity. Your gifts for Creating Hope through Working for Human Rights, Justice and Peace in Southern Asia will support missions such as: the rehabilitation of victims of human trafficking by the Church of North India; Interfaith collaboration efforts in Makassar, Indonesia, where religious discrimination has caused tensions; Legal services and rehabilitation provided by Tamilnadu Theological Seminary in India for women who have suffered physical abuse or discrimination; and Programs by the Center for Interfaith Relations and Just Social Action, which cultivate understanding and collaboration among diverse faith communities in India.

Critical Presence in Southern Asia means Church Development, Leadership Development and Education for ALL - Enabling Partners to provide opportunities for quality education for those who are excluded by virtue of their special physical needs or other economic or social limitations and to provide capacity for development of lay and professional leadership to strengthen the wider church community. Your gifts for Church Development, Leadership Development and Education for ALL in Southern Asia will support missions such as: Lay leadership training in Sumba, Indonesia; Theological Scholarships or Medical Scholarships for church-sponsored students in areas desperate for these capacities like Myanmar or remote regions in Indonesia; Educational institutions such as Jaffna College or Uduvil Girls School serving youth in war-torn Sri Lanka; and Schools operated by the Church of South India which serve children who are hearing impaired, sight impaired, mute, or affected by polio.
