The Southern Asia Initiative
“…so that we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine.” –Romans 1:12
The Global Ministries Southern Asia Initiative invites you to walk together in hope with partners in the Southern Asia region as we discover what it means to live faithfully.
Despite a complex history of cultures, spiritual traditions, growing economies, and emerging technology, Asia has also been home to the largest number of the poor in the world. Of late, the region has become more susceptible to violent conflicts, terrorism, fundamentalism, bigotry, human rights’ violations, and caste-based violence.
However, Asian churches, mostly minority communities, find themselves at the crossroads of being rooted and relevant while remaining connected with their faith traditions. Amidst human suffering, need, and injustice, churches in the region aim to stand together in faith and hope. We in Global Ministries stand with them as we receive and share good news together!
