Pray for Guadeloupe and Martinique on Sunday July 4, 2010
Prayers for Guadeloupe and Martinique: Luke 10:1-11, 16-20
Dear Lord please hear our prayers for the islands of Guadeloupe and Martinique as they continue to suffer from economic, social and political woes. We pray that you will send guidence to those who rule and a thirst for justice and reconciliation to those who, day to day, are struggling to create the French West Indies of tomorrow. May your spirit of justice and peace blow across all the islands of the caribbean inspiring people to be faith filled workers for Jesus Christ. The harvest is indeed plentiful and for that, Lord, we thank you.
Please pray for the newly elected presbyterian councils of the Protestant Reformed Churches in Martinique and Guadeloupe as they lead their parishes into the future.
Please pray for the prison chaplains in Martinique and Guadeloupe as they strugggle to help spread Jesus’ message of peace, hope and love inside the prisons of both islands.
