Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana Mourns Loss of Rev. Dr. Seth Senyo Agidi
The Right Reverend Doctor Seth Senyo Agidi, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Evangelical Presbyterian Ghana (EPCG), died on Saturday, October 10, at the age of 65. Dr. Agidi was also the founder and president of the Shepherd Centre of the Aged. At the time of his passing, he served as the Chair of the Christian Council of Ghana. A graduate of Trinity Theological College at The University of Ghana and Eden Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO, Dr. Agidi served as district pastor at Peki in the Volta Region and Second Takoradi in the Western Region. He is most noted for increasing the church’s membership and expanding the EPCG to the Ivory Coast. He also served as principal of the E.P. Theological Seminary-Peki, and on the boards of the E.P. University Council and E.P. Theological Seminary. In 2015, Dr. Agidi was inducted as the moderator of the EPCG at the Dela Cathedral in Ho, Ghana. He was scheduled to conclude his ministry as moderator in December.
He is survived by his wife and four children.
