New Link Issue: “Apartheid West Bank” by Jonathan Kuttab
The Link, published on a bi-monthly basis, is Americans for Middle East Understanding’s primary education and information tool. More than 175 issues of The Link have followed since the first issue written by Humphrey Walz appeared in 1968.
The Link archive constitutes a body of informed commentary, fact and anecdotal evidence that is all the more valuable for writers, researchers and historians because each issue (for the most part) covers only one subject.
This is the second in a series of issues on how the concept of apartheid in international law applies to the different situations in which Palestinians find themselves. The April-May issue of The Link focused on Palestinian citizens of Israel. This issue examines occupied West Bank Palestinians. The author is lawyer Jonathan Kuttab, founder of the human rights organizations Al Haq and the Mandela Institute for Palestinian Prisoners.
