Now You Are Home: What’s Next?
Welcome back! Now that your People-to-People Pilgrimage is over, you will have many stories to tell. Our hope is that you experienced mutuality, presence, community, peace, and justice, that relationships and connections were established, and that life-long memories were formed. However, your pilgrimage continues. As with the period of preparation before your travels, now begins the work of advocacy.
The People-to-People Pilgrimage Program is pleased to share with you this new resource for advocacy. This guide has been created in collaboration with the office of Global Advocacy and Education as an answer to the many inquiries of returning delegations after an international mission pilgrimage. You may have had a similar life-changing experience and are wondering what to do next. This advocacy guide will help you take the next steps in building and maintaining meaningful relationships with our international partners and encouraging action on particular issues.
We appreciate your interest in this advocacy guide. If you have questions, ideas or concerns specifically about advocacy, please contact our program associate for Global Advocacy and Education, Derek Duncan, at duncand@ucc.org or at 216-736-3220. Tell us how you are Working for Peace with Justice!
