Disciples Peace Fellowship and Global Ministries collaborate to offer Missionary-in-Residence Peace Internships

Indianapolis, Indiana, April 28, 2016:

Disciples Peace Fellowship and Global Ministries are pleased to collaborate in the 2016 Missionary-in-Residence Peace Internship. This year, they will jointly host two Palestinian Christians to serve as Missionary-in-Residence Peace Interns alongside DPF’s three domestic interns. Disciples Peace Fellowship is excited to participate with the Global Ministries’ Middle East Initiative in this way.

Rachel Shomali and Minerva Halteh, two young Palestinian women nominated by the YWCA of Palestine, a partner through Global Ministries, will accompany Disciples Peace Fellowship’s domestic interns to camps and conferences this summer. Look for Rachel and Minerva’s biographies in the upcoming NewsNotes from Disciples Peace Fellowship, as well as more information about DPF’s 2016 domestic interns, Naiomi Gonzalez, Matthew Capestro and Lexie Ofe.

The interns will begin their summer on June 1st in Indianapolis, Indiana, taking part in Global Ministries’ Missionary Conference, as well as Disciples Peace Fellowship’s Intern Training Week. The remainder of the interns’ summer schedules have not yet been confirmed, but will be published on dpfweb.org when they are announced. Stay tuned!
