Bishop K. H. Ting, honorary chair of the Eighth National Committee of the Three-Self Patriotic Movement of the Protestant Churches in China (TSPM), honorary president of the Sixth China Christian Council (CCC), honorary principal of Nanjing Union Theological Seminary, chairman of the Amity Foundation, went home to be with the Lord on November 22 in Nanjing at the age of 98.

Bishop K. H. Ting, honorary chair of the Eighth National Committee of the Three-Self Patriotic Movement of the Protestant Churches in China (TSPM), honorary president of the Sixth China Christian Council (CCC), honorary principal of Nanjing Union Theological Seminary, chairman of the Amity Foundation, went home to be with the Lord on November 22 in Nanjing at the age of 98.
Bishop Ting was a lifelong patriot and church-loving Christian who held high the banner of three-self patriotism and devoted himself to the renewal and development of the Chinese churches. He was chair of the Third, Fourth & Fifth National Committee of TSPM, president of the First, Second & Third China Christian Council, honorary chair of the Sixth, Seventh & Eighth National Committee of TSPM, honorary president of the Fourth, Fifth & Sixth China Christian Council, and principal of the Nanjing Union Theological Seminary. He also served as member of the Third National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), standing member of the Fifth National Committee of CPPCC, vice- chair of the Seventh, Eighth, Ninth & Tenth National Committee of CPPCC, delegate of the Third, Fourth & Fifth National People’s Congress (NPC), and member of the Standing Committee of the Sixth & Seventh NPC.
The funeral of Bishop Ting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 27 at 11:30 a.m. at Nanjing New Funeral Parlour (Xitian Cemetery, Dazhou Road, Tiexin Bridge, Nanjing).
The memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, December 8 at 13:30 p.m. at Mochou Road Church (No. 388, Mochou Road, Nanjing). Rev. Dr. Xiaoling Zhu, Area Executive for the East Asia and Pacific office of Global Ministries will participate in the memorial service.
