Mt. Selinda Update
We had a UCCZ National Annual General Meeting of the Volunteers.
We had a UCCZ National Annual General Meeting of the Volunteers. It was in Chikore. That is over an hour from us on terrible roads. Several of us drove over Friday and back overnight. We went for the day on Saturday and came home. Jack preached at Mt. Selinda for Pentecost Sunday. He did not know until Friday he would preach. That is the way it goes around here.
We are having a group of 12 young people and 4 adults come in this weekend. Getting arrangements made is maddening. The kids want to interact with the kids at the Home. I really look forward to that.
We have a visiting doctor from Canada here for 9 days. We are really enjoying him. He has a foundation that helps African hospitals. They can sure use it here. He is a blessing. We have been having him for lunch. We enjoy the fellowship and Maxwell cooks.
Yesterday Jack went to Chipinge. I asked for a bag of potatoes and a bag of apples. He brought home 2 bags of potatoes. Maxwell and I are making potato salad. That will be something different.
The primary school held Culture day last week. Several other schools were there. They performed skits about their culture. It was educational and interesting. We went on time so with time to spare the teacher of the deaf showed us his lab. It is impressive. He does a god job with the deaf students. He is a terrific person. He has translated for Jack. His name is Airman Malambo.
With a prayer…
