Our mission
The mission of the Office for Racial/Ethnic Relations is to develop and implement an educational ministry designed to increase the participation of the African, Native, Asian/Pacific Islander, and Hispanic American constituencies of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the United Church of Christ in God’s global mission.
How we accomplish our mission
By God’s grace, and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the Office of Racial/Ethnic Relations seeks to fulfill its mission in cooperation with:
National racial/ethnic caucus organizations
Local churches, Regions, and Conferences
Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)- and United Church of Christ-related colleges and universities.
It carries its vision to:
lay leaders and pastors
faculty and students
individuals and congregations
The Office of Racial/Ethnic Relations offers workshops, consultations, printed and video resources, and pilgrimage opportunities in a global context.
