June 2021: Together in Unity
“How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” (Psalm 133, v1)
The people of God in ancient times lived together in unity by supporting, comforting, and encouraging each other. Today, we are being called to live together in unity by sharing the blessings and grace received, providing support, and most importantly, encouraging one another to continue forward, to believe, and to keep the faith.
The pandemic brought change to our lives. It also brought new daily opportunities to overcome those changes. At the beginning of the pandemic, the Seminario Evangelico de Puerto Rico, a partner of the United Church of Christ and Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), developed and taught a new course called Technology and Ministry to the seminary students. The course was designed to provide tools, knowledge, and experience in using technology in Christian education, worship, and accompaniment. The Seminary took on the mission to provide a series of educational videos to provide additional tools to church members, leaders, participants, and the public. The videos address a diverse series of topics with the only purpose being to accompany, support, and encourage each other during this period of physical distancing.
We all have new opportunities rise every day and make changes in the lives of others. Take those opportunities and make a difference. Grab your talents, gifts, and ideas and transform them into new ways to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Recognize the grace, mercy, and glory of God even in challenging times.
