Kairos Palestine International Conference issues “A Declaration to the World”
Kairos Palestine’s 13th anniversary conference and the Global Kairos for Justice meeting have just concluded on Nov. 18th and Nov. 19th 2022. The successful international conference titled “The people, the Church, and resisting occupation” hosted several local and international speakers and shed light on the practices of Israeli apartheid against the Palestinian people, the shrinking of the civil and political space of the civil society – the Israeli attack on some of the Palestinian civil society organizations and labeling them as terrorist organizations. And finally, the role of the Global Church in resisting this injustice and achieving justice for the Palestinian people.
The conference and GKJ meeting were attended by numerous members of Global Kairos for Justice Coalition, many Kairos partners and friends, representatives of churches and international Christian institutions, Palestinian clergy, and representatives from municipal councils, local Christian organizations and local civil society organizations. The conference and GKJ meeting produced a document/conference statement calling for support for the struggle of the Palestinian people and their right to freedom and self-determination.
The full conference document/statement, entitled, “A Declaration to the World” is below.
