An Urgent Call to Prayer for Mexico
The Latin America and Caribbean Office of Global Ministries, a common witness of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada and the United Church of Christ in the United States call our Partner churches, ecumenical organizations and brothers and sisters around the world to pray for Mexico, in the midst of the scourge of Hurricane Patricia into the southwest coast and near provinces as well as in the rest of the country. With our prayer, share our solidarity and convincement that “neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 (NRSV).
La Oficina para América Latina y el Caribe de los Ministerios Globales, un testimonio común de la Iglesia Cristiana (Discípulos de Cristo) en los Estados Unidos y Canadá y la Iglesia Unida de Cristo de los Estados Unidos, hace un llamado a sus iglesias hermanas, organizaciones ecuménicas así como a hermanos y hermanas a través del mundo a orar por México, en medio del azote del Huracán Patricia en tierras del suroeste y provincias aledañas, así como en el resto del país.
