Border Churches Help Migrants On Two Continents
The immigration crisis in Europe and in the American Southwest have generated powerful, polarized reactions. Two churches, one in Arizona, the other in Italy are working together to help migrants from across their respective borders. Global Ministries Volunteer Marta Bernardini, from the Waldensian Church in Italy and Mediterranean Hope, and the Rev. Randy Mayer, pastor of the Church of the Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, in Sahuarita, AZ, were interviewed recently and their interview was aired on “Here and Now.”
