{mosimage} The Office of Development is pleased to announce that an anonymous donor has gifted Kansas Christian Home a contribution designated for the KCH Coffee Garden. The benefactor is quite knowledgeable of the missionary work of KCH residents. Welcome to the Café de Rodolfo, translated as Ralph’s (Rodolfo) Coffee House. It is so named in honor of the twenty plus year mission work of R.Q. and Annamae Adams in Paraguay, South America. It will be further extended to document the life long work of our many Missionaries who lived here in the past two decades. We have been gifted a US Flag to fly in honor of the flag at home while our missionaries served abroad.
The Vision
{mosimage} Dietary Director Heather Williams proposed the feasibility of donor(s) making a gift for the purpose of developing a relaxation, socialization and hydration center in the home. Heathers vision included these points:
- a casual café dedicated to a casual and relaxing environment
- create an atmosphere as much like home as possible (non-institutional)
- {mosimage} design includes a small kitchenette (lockable), 24 hour capability
- computer bar wheelchair accessible
- Much equipment for beverages will be loaned by a Dietary beverage supplier
- Re-design of the Sunroom (at end of 400 Hall) in café or bistro style
- Décor is dedicated to South America and Coronel Oviedo Paraguay in honor of R.Q. and Annamae Adams and will feature photographs and legend of our Missionaries to Mexico, Africa, etc. We will recognize by pictorial and descriptive record, all Global and Home Mission work of our KCH residents as well as South America in a binder featuring photograph and bio data.
- Coffee Garden can offer fresh fruit, snacks, juice, coffee, tea, jello, pre pack individual ice cream
- Campus residents may use on a recommended donation basis, home residents free
{mosimage}The Budget
- Cost of cabinetry, labor, and materiel
- Refrigerator (on hand and available for use)

- Initial snacks, fruits, beverages (minimal investment, already offering)
