CMEP Bulletin: West Bank Tensions Rise; Gaza’s Public Institutions Strike
Formed in 1984, Churches for Middle East Peace is a coalition of 22 national church denominations and organizations, including the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and United Church of Christ. It works to encourage U.S. government policies that actively promote a just, lasting and comprehensive resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, ensuring security, human rights and religious freedom for all people of the region.

The Society of St. Yves – Catholic Center for Human Rights condemns in the strongest terms the uprooting of hundreds of olive trees and bulldozing lands in Beir Onah by the Israeli army, as it begins the building of the annexation wall in Cremisan, without any regard to the rights of the 58 Palestinian Christian families who will lose their lands as a result of the construction of the annexation wall in the area.
