Congo partners express concern over California wildfires
To our friends in California and Global Ministries
We greet you all!
During our three weeks visit in California with the Northern California and Nevada Region of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), you granted us the pleasure of visiting many places of interest, one of which was Yosemite National Park which impressed us by its flora, its fauna, water, its geography, its climate, and much more. The visit left us with a positive image that is engraved in our hearts. However, the images which we see on television and on the internet are very disturbing and have pushed us to an action of prayer. We know that the houses can be rebuilt and the trees replanted, but the damage to the thousand year old trees is irrevocable. Therefore, we have initiated a series of prayers so that our Eternal God can save California from further disaster by stopping the fires so that they do not expand to other places in California and neighboring states. We also pray for the many brave people who are working tirelessly to fight the fires.
Our sincere greetings,
