Frances Eddy 05/23/1915 to 05/16/2006
From Matthew Chaper 28: “Full authority in heaven and on earth has been committed to me. Go forth therefore and make all nations my disciples — I am with you always, to the end of time.”
To greet you with the news of Frances Eddy’s passing to life eternal. Her passing was peaceful and of short duration. Her caregiver knew this would have been to her pleasing and to have occurred at her beloved Mayflower Home in Grinnell, Iowa. Frances’ life journey began in Burton, Ohio to travel through the mid-west and Massachusetts as Director of Christian Education in our UCC churches. From there, to journey to Turkey as missionary for ten years. She was a world traveler, having visited at least 32 foreign countries, making 25 Atlantic crossings, and four Pacific crossings.
Frances graduated from high school in Decatur, Illinois, received her B.A. from Oberlin College, and took graduate courses at the Chicago Theological Seminary. You were all close to her in thought and concern. Your good messages have been appreciated tho’ she was unable to respond. Alzheimers is cruel. Her life’s interests were poeple, music, and her church.
A memorial service will be held late June in Grinnell.
May God shed his grace and love on each of you.
