Goodrich Family Fund
The Goodrich Family Fund was established in 1990 as a Division of Overseas Ministries endowment at the request by Reverend Dr. Howard and Reverend Darlene Goodrich. Life-long leaders of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the Goodriches served, among their varied ministries, as mission personnel in Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland, and Zimbabwe; and as interim Global Ministries Area Executives for Africa. Through the Goodrich Family Fund, Darlene and Howard Goodrich express their deep commitment to God’s global mission.
Distributions from the Goodrich Family Fund provide Global Ministries with resources to support scholarship grants for ministerial students living outside of the United States and Canada. The recipients of this scholarship support will have demonstrated the most promise for ministry and the most need as determined by Global Ministries partner churches. First priority for recipients of scholarship grants is to ministerial students who are African, Southern Asian or Latin American/Caribbean by birth, and whose ministerial, vocational focus is to serve in theological education, as leaders in their own church bodies, or as leaders in ecumenical church bodies.
