Reverend Patricia M. Tucker Global Ministries Fund

The Reverend Patricia M. Tucker Global Ministries Fund was established by the Board of Directors of the Division of Overseas Ministries in April 2004 to honor Reverend Tucker’s witness and commitment to God’s global mission, and her leadership of Global Ministries. The distributions from the Reverend Patricia M. Tucker Global Ministries Fund are used to benefit the work of the Division of Overseas Ministries/Global Ministries.

Reverend Patricia M. Tucker served as the President of the Division of Overseas Ministries from January 1994 until December 2002.  Pat was instrumental in the final stages of the establishment of the Common Global Ministries Board (CGMB) in partnership with the United Church of Christ, and served as its first Disciple Co-Executive, along with her UCC counterpart.  She was especially sensitive to the needs of local congregations and launched initiatives promoting hands-on mission.  Moreover, Pat led the CGMB successfully to reverse the decline of the numbers of fully-supported, long-term mission personnel during her tenure.  She consistently shared God’s story of mission around the world, demonstrating a passion for justice and a commitment to the mission of the Division of Overseas Ministries and Global Ministries.
