Global Ministries among 74 organizations supporting Senate resolution requiring reporting on Israel’s human rights practices

Global Ministries of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and United Church of Christ is among 74 organizations signing in support of Senate Resolution S504 requiring a report on Israel’s human rights practices and U.S. military aid to Israel. The resolution was introduced by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

The letter, sent to all members of the US Senate, states, “It is long overdue for the Senate to hold a public vote and debate on U.S. complicity in Israeli human rights abuses against Palestinians living under occupation and bombardment, and to reassert Congressional oversight powers over U.S. arms transfer policy and foreign policy.”
