JAI: A Christmas Call from Palestine
Bethlehem, Dec. 12, 2017
Lights on the Bethlehem Christmas Tree were switched off as a sign of mourning after Trump’s announcement to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. This is one of the ways Palestinians are resisting the ongoing settler colonial regime. After three days, the lights were switched back on in time to celebrate the return of the light of hope, peace, joy, and love.
This year we invite you to join us in turning off your lights as a sign of solidarity and then to turn them back on as a sign of recommitment to working for peace with justice.
The Joint Advocacy Initiative of the YWCA of Palestine and the E. Jerusalem YMCA wishes all its partners and friends a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
Thank You for helping us keep the light of hope alive.
