Jerusalem: Perspectives from on current developments
Last week, Global Ministries published a reflection by Mr. Zack Sabella, a graduate of Blavatnik public policy school of Oxford University and a native of Jerusalem, with an introduction by his father, Dr. Bernard Sabella, Executive Secretary of the Middle East Council of Churches’ Department of Service for Palestinian Refugees, and is a professor of sociology at Bethlehem University. In the past few days, both Zack and Bernard have been interviewed by international news outlets for their perspectives. Their interviews are available here:
In an interview with Asia News, Dr. Bernard Sabella stresses the lack of “political will and leadership” that fuels ongoing violence. The Palestinian leadership cannot accept killing “as a necessary evil”. Click here to read the full article.
Zack was interviewed by National Public Radio. In it, he says young Palestinians are increasingly falling into two camps: those who want to leave and those who have nothing to lose. Click here for Zack’s interview on Morning Edition.
