Piana di Gioia Tauro, closure of the tent city: what are the alternatives for the farm workers?
Piana di Gioia Tauro (NEV), 28 July 2020 – “The municipal administration informs guests that the procedures for the final closure of the tent city are in progress . Guests are therefore asked to find new living arrangements.” On 24 July 2020, the Municipality of San Ferdinando circulated a leaflet to farm workers still living in the tent city. Read more….
Beirut, FCEI launches appeal
Rome (NEVCS/22), 7th August 2020 – After the devastating explosion which struck the Lebanese capital on 4th August, the Federation of Protestant Churches in Italy (FCEI) has decided to start an appeal for Beirut. “The explosion which struck the port of Beirut has left a huge impression on all of us,” say the team from Mediterranean Hope.
