Micronesian Council General Assembly
Micronesian Council – United Church of Christ held its General Assembly June 26-29, 2006 in Pohnpei, the Federated States of Micronesia. 24 delegates from four churches: The Congregational Church of the Marshall Islands – United Church of Christ, The Kosrae Congregational Christian Church, The United Church of Christ of Pohnpei, and the Namoneas Congregational Churches Association – Chuuk, attended the meeting.

The delegates discussed their common mission in the region, such as pastors’ continued education, women and youth ministries, changes to MC-UCC Constitution and By-Laws, and the election and installation of new officers:
Rev. Jud Samson (Marshall Island), Moderator,
Rev. Rev. Hirosi Ismael (Kosrae), General Secretary,
Rev. Tosiwo Liwy (Pohnpei) Secretary, and,
Rev. Wei Fiti (Chuuk), treasurer.
The United Church of Christ was represented by the Rev. Dr. Charles Buck, Conference Minister of the Hawaii Conference, the Rev. Fed Ranches, Evangelism Ministry Team of Local Church Ministries, and the Rev. Dr. Xiaoling Zhu, Area Executive for East Asia and the Pacific of Global Ministries.
