President of the Protestant Churches of Egypt Condemns the incident of Al-Rawda Mosque
Rev. Dr. Andrea Zaki, President of the Protestant Churches of Egypt, condemned the terrorist attack on the worshipers during Friday prayers at Al Rawdah Mosque in Bir Al-Abed area in North Sinai, 184 were killed and 125 were wounded up till now.
In his statement today, Zaki stressed that this terrorist act which targeted innocent people during prayers, which aims to destabilize security and stability in Egypt, is contrary to all laws, values and traditions; and all segments of the society rejects terrorism in all its forms. Zaki called on all Egyptians to stand hand in hand in the face of terrorism.
He added: “This criminal act at places of worship – mosques and churches- is a desperate attempt to disrupt the progress of the nation.” He called on all national fronts to unite in solidarity to build a bright future for the loyal Egyptian people.
The statement concluded by praying for martyrs to rest in peace and for the wounded to heal, hoping that God will safeguard Egypt’s leadership and people.
