Bookstores
For novels and general books Stimatsky Stores are available all over Israel and some of them sell English language books. There is an import tax which makes books a bit more expensive than in the West. The selection includes novels, etc. but, since this is an Israeli store, it does not include books about Palestinian concerns. The store on Jaffa Rd. in Jerusalem is good for English language books. There are also some used-book bookstores in Jerusalem selling English language books. Some of the Fair trade stores sell books, although they do not have a large selection.
A number of bookstores are especially helpful if you want books about peace and justice or books about Palestinian issues. These are my favorites:
