Summer Update-Kenya
Greetings in the most Precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Thank you for accepting me to be used by God in Global Ministries in such a great way; I couldn’t do what I am doing without your support in both prayer and resources. May God bless you!
Through your help and support God is working mightily in Kenya especially in the lives of the President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga. Forgiveness was the dominant theme during this year’s National Prayer Breakfast meeting at Safari Park where leaders, businessmen, and politicians from all walks of life converged to pray for Kenya. President Uhuru called on Kenyans to turn to God and pray for the healing of the country. He said that all it takes is willingness from each and everyone to embrace unity by forgiving their neighbor. There is no doubt that with willingness, nothing is impossible and I have no doubt there is willingness. There was real joy in the room. Lives are changing and we give all glory back to God and we say thank you for support.
My family is thriving by God´s grace and we praise him. Our son, Dan, graduated with his masters of art in govenance at International Leadership University, Kenya and our daughter, Miriam, got her diploma in communication in France.
I was invited to a forum on entrepreneurial culture and self- sustainability for women leaders that took place in Nairobi from 14th to 18th May 2018 at the All African Council of Churches. This workshop was a Training of Trainers (TOT) workshop that focused on preparing women leaders for entrepreneurial culture in the efforts to empower women with initiatives that can promote sustainable peace and development.
Since April at OAIC Kenya, we are developing a curriculum centered on the empowerment of women and reproductive health with education about harmful practices including gender based violence, female genital mutilation and early marriages. The curriculum will be used to train church leaders around Kenya.
Thank you for partnering with us.
