The Dignity Workshop

The Dignity Workshop

Thursday, November 14 and Thursday, November 21, 2024, 7-8:15pm Eastern

What does dignity look like in daily life? How can we talk about it in practical terms? Why do we keep hurting each other’s dignity? Is it possible to share a common vision for how and when to protect dignity? These are some of the questions that led to the creation of the “Dignity Model” by Donna Hicks, an expert in conflict resolution.

Global Ministries mission co-worker Jeffrey Mensendiek has worked and taught in Japan for three decades, and in recent years has led workshops on dignity with multiple organizations and faith groups. The purpose of this workshop is to bring people together to learn about the Dignity Model and to gain a vocabulary to talk about dignity in practical terms. The workshop will consist of short presentations, after which participants will have time in small groups to deepen their understanding of the concepts that were introduced.

By joining in this dialogue together we will experience first-hand the truth that dignity is a tie that binds us all.

This is a two-part workshop so please plan to join both sessions.
