Faith, hope, and love

The breath in our lungs

The sweat on our brows

The song in our hearts

We were not born in the same land

But we share the same table

We are not related by blood

But are connected by the soil

In faith, in hope, and in love

God plants and transplants

He waters and tends

He weeds and supports

He rejoices when we grow

Just as we do

When we water and tend to our neighbor

When we weed out the injustice

When we support our sisters and brothers

We rejoice in the planting

We rejoice overgrowth

We rejoice over the harvest

Of faith, of hope, and of love

The greatest of these being love
