We are pleased to welcome Tracy Carnes as Executive for Mission Education and Interpretation. Raised with ecumenical roots, she was baptized Episcopalian, confirmed Lutheran, and is now a member of the United Church of Christ. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Her work eventually brought her to Cleveland where she has lived for the last twenty five years.
She has twenty five years of business experience including fifteen years of business ownership, and fourteen years in UCC related work including program and resource development, stewardship, and coaching and development. She is passionate about and experienced in raising awareness of and support for mission through engaging advocates, educating constituents and effectively interpreting mission.
“I believe we have an abundance of gifted individuals who care deeply about living faithfully and about being in community with one another. My hope is to connect our community of Mission Interpreters (MMI’s) with one another and with a global partner around areas of shared global interest (sustainable agriculture, advocacy, migration…). When we bring our giftedness to our passion and form affirming communities of practice, groups can be very life-giving and accomplish great things. The opportunity to work with Global Ministries and Wider Church Ministries is a grace filled blessing.”
